How to read this

Break-even past month 14 is a warning

Average AE tenure in B2B SaaS is under two years. If the hire does not clear cost inside 14 months, one bad quarter erases the whole case.

Ramp is the biggest lever, not salary

Cutting ramp from nine months to four moves break-even further than cutting €15k off base. Onboarding and a real playbook are cheaper than a discount.

If it only works at 100% attainment, it does not work

Set attainment to 60% and check the answer again. If the hire is only rational when everything goes right, you are buying a lottery ticket.

A fractional lead costs less than the rep and shortens the ramp.
